I have gone on a study Bible "rampage" for many years, reading the notes that relate to forgiveness for all sins, in virtually every study Bible that exists. Dr. John MacArthur gets it right like no one else. Have you committed a sin you think God won't forgive? Dr. MacArthur explains that God forgives every sin, for those who repent and believe in Jesus.
Dr. MacArthur also has the best notes on Genesis 1-11. He is a Biblical creationist, and honors God's word as written. His notes explain that evolution is a lie, and that the universe cannot be more than ten thousand years old.
Then there is the tremendously beautiful craftsmanship of this study Bible. The quality of the materials used from the paper to the cover, the binding, everything, is exquisite. This study Bible will last a long time, rewarding regular use with stability.
I can't say enough to commend this study Bible. -

What astonishes me is the readability of the print--even the smallest print used for the cross references! They are all very readable. No pages stick together. In the Introductions to the individual Bible books is included a section called "Interpretive Challenges" which addresses special problems in each book.
The same vast collection of information and helps is found in each of the MacArthur Study Bible, 2nd editions (NKJV, NASB, and (next spring) ESV).
I highly recommend getting the MacArthur Study Bible, Second Edition!

It is very nice quality and, although a little heavy, I still take it to Church (although I would like to buy a carrying cover for it). Such great notes and helps as I am reading the old and new testament straight through as recommended by John. I feel like I've comprehended so much more as I'm going. I really glad I bought it.
