Paper quality is good, don't see too much shadow coming through from the other side.
Print quality is good, nice and crisp dark letters.
Font size is typical "giant print" about the same size as all the others I've seen.
The leather is bonded leather and it smells like tar. It literally stinks. Typically when I buy a leather bible the first thing I do after taking it out of the package and flipping through the pages is hold it up to my face and take a deep breath. I'm giving you fair warning. This bible smells more like tar than it does leather. The smell of this bible almost makes me nauseous.
The font face of the verse numbers is modern but the font face of the text is more like times new roman. It doesn't match and somehow that's visually distracting. Some verse numbers are bold not sure why, I didn't bother investigating.
I bought this bible for myself. Didn't really need giant print but I wanted something that was easy on the eyes for long reads. The only thing I'm disappointed about is the quality of the leather. I would not classify bonded leather in the same league as "genuine" leather.
This Bible I've had many years. It's one you go back to. Very nice print size, truly easy on the eyes. The NASB version is true to scripture, but more easily understood. The leather has some weight. No question it will wear well!
Great translation and very nice looking soft genuine leather. I got the black for my husbsnd and liked it so much I ordered the burgundy for myself but they are out of stock it seems permanently on this particular latge print, easy to read edition.
