Over all it is a great Bible. I only have two things against it. First when I opened it the first time I was not expecting such thin pages and I creased the title page. And second I wanted a NAS Ryrie with a sewn binding, however this is the best one on the market that I could find. So over all awesome Bible.
The Ryrie Study is one of the best Bibles on the market today. If you can only have one study Bible, this is the one to get. However, this edition is a disappointment from the previous edition. For study, I miss the wide margins and the verse by verse presentation. I hope that Moody Press will consider going to the former format, even if this would increase the price. The leather is fair quality, and the non-leather editions do not hold up (I have this Bible in non-leather, ESV). I wish this Bible would be available in a calf-skin leather. Saying all of this about the quality of the Bible, which is fair to poor, the CONTENTS of the Bible are superior to most. The NASB is a very accurate translation, and Dr. Ryrie's notes are certainly "noteworthy." You will be very pleased with this Bible!
Over 30 years of ministry i continue to use and recomend this study Bible version. Charles Ryrie who passed away in early 2016 has authored many very helpful books on doctrine, theology, commentary on The Bible, and also had a well respected teaching ministry at Philadelphia College of Bible, (now Cairn University), and Dallas Theological Seminary. For me his seminal work is the Ryrie Study Bible. One of my Bible school prof.'s and early ministry mentors turned me towards using this for study and teaching purposes. The NASB is the most literal translation to the original languages. This version combined with Dr. Ryrie's extensive scholarship in the attached, (not inspired), notes makes this Bible highly recommended from me to others. I wish it would be republished in the NKJV, as it once was. It is also available in the KJV and ESV. This study Bible will be more than helpful to your daily reading and studies.
I love the Ryrie NAS study Bible, however the print that CBD showed online when I looked at this particular Bible was not the print that was actually used in the Bible. The print type used was smaller and I could not read it.
