The nail replica brought tears to my eyes at the thought of our Lord and Saviour having to endure the pain of these nails in His hand and feet. I shared the nail with my Sunday School class (an adult class). Some of my students are new Christians. This provided a visual of what the Savior went through for us. They had heard of the nail, but to actually see one caused them to get a better understand of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. I think that ALL Sunday School teachers , especially those teaching new Christians, should have one of these nails as a teaching aid.
I purchased one of these nails several years ago. I use a crown of thorns and the nail to help 4th-grade students realize Christ's suffering. A fellow teacher asked about getting one. I've been watching this site to have them in stock. I bought enough for each of our Weekday Religious Education teachers. I'm looking forward to giving them their nails this Christmas so they will have them for the spring.
