In reading M.O.T.H.S. I find a lot of examples that have happened in my own life and that gives me clarity. R'C.Sproul is definitly a gifted writer. I don't agree with him on everything he says but I don't agree with everything anyone says, only the HOLY SPIRIT. We are led by the Spirit and I see this book holding a lot of those answers. An excellant read and study.

The mystery of the Holy Spirit, by RC Sproul, provides a well balanced look at the Biblical teaching on the character and person of the Holy Spirit. He starts the book with taking the position that all Christians have spiritual discernment and we are to know and understand who the Holy Spirit is. He is personal. Even though there may be some mystery surrounding the Holy Spirit we are to know Him better. Not only to know Him, but also to see signs of His work in our life. Sproul teaches us that The Holy Spirit is God and that He is a member of the Trinity. He explains some of the historical controversies and biblical teachings concerning the Trinity. Sproul then discusses the role of the Holy Spirit in regeneration and lays out the teaching concerning the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Finally he talks about the Holy Spirits work in our sanctification and how Christians have the power of God in the living of our new life. This book is very insightful.

An excellent study of the holy spirit often not considered in the neo evangelical world.
