I am an 8th grade home-school student, my favorite subject is History. I absolutely love the "Mystery of History"! I retain the names and dates of events. The tests, quizzes, and pretests are extremely thorough. I believe the "Middle students" activities should be based on grades 4-6th, because they are a little easy for the age suggestion (6th-8th grade). Sincerely, Kaley
We have done Mystery of History 1 and LOVED LOVED LOVED it! My daughter, 3rd grade, can't wait to open it. Though we took longer than a year to go through the first one, she KNOWS all about the people throughout the whole book. It has been an amazing set up in learning about the Bible and the World as time went on, and for her to actually grasp and remember it...as a 2nd and 3rd grader.....has been awesome to watch!!!! MY knowledge has increased so much and the Bible makes sooo much more sense now. Highly recommend the first volume and am sure hoping this 2nd is as good! Will write a review again after going through it.
I don't know but is anyone else who has done MOH Volume 1 disappointed that Volume 2 does not have the map activities answer keys? I really loved Volume 1 and although it was time consuming to plan and grade, it had everything even though it was scattered. Unfortunately Volume 2 because it doesn't have the map answer keys just makes it that much harder and time consuming to grade. I'm a bit frustrated at the moment as I'm grading the first week's lesson activities and realized there is no map answer key.
This product is so easy to implement and is an all inclusive history book for this time period. My children can all study history together from a biblical perspective and enjoy activities at their own levels or participate in the activities all together after each lesson. We absolutely love it!
