Gift-giving just became easier for parents, grandparents, and others who want to share the greatest stories of the Bible with little ones in a child-sized book filled with bright colors and easy-to-understand language.
Each of these most-loved stories—20 from the Old Testament and 20 from the New Testament—is written in just a hundred memorable words that accurately capture the longer Bible account. Every story is accompanied by a full-page, full-color illustration to capture a child's imagination as well as attention. This book's small size makes it a terrific traveling companion for the ride to church or the journey to dreamland.
Perfect for baby dedications, showers, Easter baskets, Christmas stockings, and toddler-through-preschool birthdays.

Harvest House Publishers was conceived in 1974 with just five titles and a dream in the heart of its founder, Bob Hawkins, Sr. to publish books to help the hurts of people. Within two years, five of its titles had sold more than 100,000 copies and one title was on the bestseller list for eight months in a row. By the late 1980s, Harvest House was among the top ten publishers of Christian literature. The company publishes more than 150 new books each year and offers a strong backlist of more than 1200 titles.
Harvest House books gained a reputation of being affordable, trustworthy and practical by meeting people's most current needs in three major categories: self-help (relationships, family, Christian living), Bible resources (Bibles, Bible studies, topical studies), and full color gift and children's books featuring top licensed artists. More than 100 million Harvest House books have been sold worldwide in bookstores, gift stores, grocery stores, airports, mass market outlets, catalogs, on Internet sites, and in digital format online. Millions more have been sold in 75 languages around the world.

"I received a copy of My Very Own Bible and I was delighted by the bright drawings and the child-appropriate language used to describe the stories of Jesus. I have found that many children's Bibles tell the stories of Jesus using terms that are too complicated for young minds. It will be a joy to read My Very Own Bible to my grandchildren and I intend on purchasing copies to give to the babies being dedicated in our church. Thank you for such a thoughtful presentation of Jesus."
—Shannon Kearney, pastor, South Hills Church
"My Very Own Bible is a great resource to use with children in our pre-school classes. The children each could have their 'very own Bible' and look at the picture of the story that we are learning for the day. The illustrations are geared to the younger children and would allow them to look at the pictures and point out things on their own that would add to their learning of the story. I like that the stories are short and would hold the attention of even the youngest listeners. I also think the children would love to have a Bible of their own that was actually used during their Sunday School class."
—Lesli Klingenmeier, children's pastor, Family Fellowship Foursquare Church
"I have shown My Very Own Bible to a number of our little ones at the church and they have all enjoyed the stories as well as the pictures. One of the parents commented that she enjoyed the simplicity of the words, and particularly, the pictures. She said that so many times the pictures can be a distraction for young children rather than a good illustration. I will recommend the book to other children's pastors as well as to our congregation."
—Donna Brink, associate pastor, North Eugene Faith Center
