Although the stories are not heavily into doctrinal messages, they actually are biblically accurate.
The two-part story of the creation of and fall of Adam and Eve talks about the sadness of disobeying God and the consequences of such actions. The two-part story of the saving of baby Moses and his later power to part the Red Sea is exciting and easy to follow. Great heroes of the Bible are focused on, including David, Daniel, Esther, Joshua, and Samson. The narratives are told as quatrain rhymes (somewhat stitled, but often amusing) that can be repeated by youngsters.
The final dozen entries focus on the life and teachings of Jesus, including pictorial renderings of people talked about in the parables, as well as the life of Christ from infant to resurrection. This 63 page book is delightfully illustrated by Tim O'Connor . It's the kind of book that can set on the bedside table for many evenings of reading pleasure for children and parents. -- Dr. Dennis E. Hensley, ChristianBookPreviews.com
Kimberlie Benson1 Stars Out Of 5Not as expectedNovember 5, 2010Kimberlie BensonQuality: 3Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1This book is probably ok for very young children. It has cardboard pages with very little written on them. Would return but I would lose $ since CBD requires buyer to pay return postage.
Jason Marrero4 Stars Out Of 5February 6, 2009Jason MarreroI needed a book to read to my daughter before she goes to sleep. This book was all I expected it has thick pages so she can't rip them when I'm not looking. The book has short but sweet readings to keep her attention. This book has been a blessing and it will be a blessing in you house.
