ZelmaMontanaAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5100% Clean Christian RomanceFebruary 8, 2015ZelmaMontanaAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4This review was written for My Heart Stood Still. My Heart Stood Still by Lori Copeland
Is a beautiful story about the fight for what is right. This book is 100% clean! A book I can trust if my children picked up I wouldn't have to worry. This book starts in the time of the Civil War era. We have Anne-Marie a fiery red head Irish woman con artist who also moonlights as a Nun if needed to pull off that con. Who was described as Cunning as a Fox. Then we have Creed "aka Storm Runner" a Crow Indian. Who has a hidden secret. Anne-Marie is bound and determined to find out. Then there is Quincy a strong but compassionate black man who lends an ear and gives great advise. And then to round out the colorful cast you have Cortes a Mexican outlaw.
Anne-Marie was pulling off a con when she and her 2 sisters get caught and a swarm of Comanches on their way. Creed see's her distress and rescues her. This story has lots of twists and turns and keeps you thinking. Anywhere from prison, Being shot, An amazing escape involving the Indians, A crooked Sheriff and banker. And will Anne-Marie find love? She has always had a hard time trusting men -

Lori Copeland took three untraditional main characters , joined them together in this storyline and wrote a fabulous book to read. I was fascinated from the beginning and this book has drama, adventure, humor and romance. The plot is different from other books I've read, but it's so captivating. I highly recommend reading My Heart Stood Still by Lori Copeland. It's Book Two in Sisters of Mercy Flats series, but I believe you can read it as a stand alone book. I haven't read Book One in this series, but I will read it and if it's as good as Book Two, you may want to read it first. I'm looking forward to the next book.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. This review is one hundred percent my opinion. -

VicsMediaRoomIrvine, CAAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Civil War Historical Fiction Adventure RomanceAugust 12, 2015VicsMediaRoomIrvine, CAAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for My Heart Stood Still.Lori Copeland in her new book, My Heart Stood Still Book Two in the Sisters of Mercy Flats series published by Harvest House Publishers takes us into the life of Anne-Marie McDougal.
From the Back Cover: God had planted Creed Walker in her lifeand He wouldnt let her lose him.
The three wily and beautiful McDougal sisters can swindle a man faster than it takes to lasso a calf. But their luck is running out, and theyre about to be hauled off to jail. When the wagon carrying them falls under attack, each sister is picked up by a different man.
Anne-Marie, the middle sister, is saved by Creed Walker, a Crow warrior. Its loathing at first sight, but with bandits on their tail and a cache of gold to hide, Creed and Anne-Marie need each other. Will they learn to put aside their differences and trust each otherand God? And can their growing faith turn their lives around?
This is book two in the series however the good news is that you can read this story apart from the other two and it will be okay. However I do recommend that you read the other two just for the sheer enjoyment of them. Three sisters, who are con artists, are finally arrested and in a prison wagon dressed as nuns when the wagon is attacked by Indians. At the sound of the attack three men gallop to the rescue and each man takes a different sister. This time the focus is on Anne-Marie. Seems her rescuer, Creed, is the strong silent type. When they do go to a town they are imprisoned and sentenced to be hung at dawn. They do escape but with the gold. There is adventure after adventure that will keep you flipping pages trying to find out what happens next and why. Historical fiction that takes place during The Civil War. And did I mention that this is a romance? I enjoyed this book a lot and am looking forward to the next book in this series.

jenilee220OhioAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5GREAT Series by Lori Copeland!February 28, 2015jenilee220OhioAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for My Heart Stood Still.Being 1 of 3 sisters, I loved this series! I thought Lori Copeland had such a creative idea for this series. Each book could stand alone yet read together, you get a great set of stories about 3 hilarious, strong sisters!
Anne Marie is a fabulous lead character and I loved reading her story. She and Creed Walker make a great lead couple as they discover more about each other and also about themselves. They learn life lessons together through difficult slightly humorous situations and it was a joy to read their journey!
