I loved the idea, but the stickers were so thin they ripped as my daughter was taking them off the backing. What a disappointment! It was flawed before it was even finished; how do you piece together a broken sticker? I never figured out how to make it look good. Don't see replacement stickers available anywhere. Eventually all the stickers got scratched off the bank. Now, as it goes into the thrift store bin, it's basically useless to anyone. Too bad.
This is an excellent way to teach stewardship to children. I bought them for my children years ago and now they have no problem paying their tithes (i.e. God's 10%) and giving an offering. Furthermore, they know how to set aside savings and spending money. Now I buy this bank for some of my godchildren.
Finally, I use this bank as a visual aid to teach adults because it shows the simplicity of stewardship.
My kids have loved having their own money boxes and the idea that they can see exactly what money is allocated to which purpose is a great idea. My 2 children (5 and 3) have found great pleasure in going to their money boxes and getting out their tithes for church and seeing their savings grow. Great skills to develop early on. would recommend it to all families.
