Sweetly told in prose with gentle, yet somewhat abstract, art, it begins with the annunciation and follows all the way through to the escape to Egypt.
A major feature of My Advent Calendar Christmas Book is the cover. Tiny little numbered flaps on the cover may be lifted - one each day beginning with December 1 and ending December 24, Christmas Eve. Little ones delight in flap books, and the anticipation of getting to lift one each day will be a joy to watch in the household where a child abides.
Kregel Publications and Lion Hudson produce very good children's books. I enjoy reviewing them and passing them along to be enjoyed by children and families I know.
