ciciAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Bravery and Murder = Deliciously Tense MomentsMay 14, 2016ciciAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I am trying to figure out a way to explain the second book in this most amazing serious without giving up the goods. I think the best way is to say that Murder Comes by Mail by A. H. Gabhart is a lightening storm that will strike at your brain and heart equally. I am a HUGE Gabhart fan and can think of not a bad word for the stories that come from her. With that being said, book #2 The Hidden Springs Mysterious just might be a favorite series ever. I love the homely community, the witty banter, and the fact that our hero is a total hottie. Book boyfriends should be thing! And I would love Deputy Sheriff Michael Keane as one. Yummy!!! I think strong, brave heroes are one of the main reasons that mysteries are such a fun read. If nail-biting, high tense reading is your thing than Murder Comes by Mail will be the perfect book this summer. A beach + Gabhart = heaven. I received a copy for this review from Revell Books and all opinions are my own.
SusanClover, SCAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great Second in Series By Ann Gabhart!May 12, 2016SusanClover, SCAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have been reading Ann Gabhart's books a long time and when she decided to write mysteries, I knew she'd do a good job. Boy, does she! The first book in the Hidden Springs Mystery series was great and so was this one.
Ann has created a wonderful small town in Hidden Springs. Sheriff's deputy, Michael Keane, is the main character and he is a great one. In fact, I think nearly everyone would aspire to the characteristics Michael displays.
Michael solved the crime in the last book, but this time evil has come to Hidden Springs and somehow he feels he is being targeted, being played by the psycho killer that is making things and everyone feel unsafe in Hidden Springs. Michael is running ragged trying to try to figure out who the murderer is while keeping those he loves safe from harm.
I loved seeing folks I knew from the last book, Murder At the Courthouse. These people grow on the reader and I loved catching up with familiar faces, so to speak. Ann Gabhart has poured her heart into this one and created a super mystery to boot! I did not have a clue who the culprit was! Plus, there is a nice surprise at the end . AND a teaser from the next Hidden Springs Mystery! Boy, was I glad to see that coming!
So, settle down and get ready to meet a precious little small town and its citizens. I found myself wanting to go have lunch with them at the grill!
*I was provided with a free copy of this book by the author and publisher in exchange for my honest review, which I have given.
MarilynCoral Springs, FLAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Murder, Mystery and a dash of romanceMay 11, 2016MarilynCoral Springs, FLAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4This is book two in The Hidden Springs Mysteries series, however it is a stand alone book. I have not read book one and had no problem keeping up with what was going on in this book. Gabhart does a great job in describing a scene and its people. She will keep you guessing, with just enough laughter, mystery and a dash of romance.
Deputy Sheriff Michael Keane is a handsome, well loved deputy. When he rescues a man from jumping off the bridge he wonders if he should have let him jump. When the murder seems to always be one step ahead of Michael will he ever be able to find this man before more people must die, especially when it gets personal.
I was given a copy of this novel from the suspense zone and the author for my honest opinion.
Cindy Loven4 Stars Out Of 5Another great story from Hidden SpringsMay 5, 2016Cindy LovenQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I know whodunnit!! LOL and no it was NOT the postman. Sorry, a little mail humor there. This story was as great as the first in the series. I love Hidden Springs because it is the type of town I love to visit. So we have the same quirky bunch again, Michael Keane and his aunt, who is beyond ready for him to settle down. The unknown factor of this story is why is someone killing off people connected to Michael? Even more disturbing is the fact that the murder seems to be trying to implicate Michael. A fast paced story, lots of deaths (murders) I knew who the murder was early into the story, but I didn't know the why.
I am looking forward to the third book of this series. I truly enjoy Ann's mysteries/suspense books. This book was provided for review purposes only, no payment was received for this review. 4.5 stars from this reviewer.
