MOVING TARGET is a page-turning suspense that will keep you glued to the pages while the hero and heroine run for their lives. I told my fifteen year old daughter that I realize we live in a fallen world and "there is nothing new under the sun" but it absolutely terrifies me that something such as written about in this book could actually happen -- and did happen in the author's mind as she wrote the story. My daughter responded with "I think all suspense authors are scary." Hmm. Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know any in real life.

Whether Ms. Eason is scary or not isn't what is in question though. It's this story. And for the screamish, it'd probably be best to throw the book down and run screaming in the opposite direction. There are dead bodies everywhere. And more terror than you can imagine. For the not screamish, prepare to get no sleep until you finish this book because you just can't put it down.

The faith message is very solidly worked through the entire book, in both the characters' private lives and in the suspense. I felt sorry for Quinn but I didn't actually like him and he and Maddy argue almost constantly so I'm kind of wondering how well a relationship between them will work out.

The suspense itself keeps you guessing pretty much. I did sort of figure it out when something was mentioned early on in the book, but I didn't completely figure it out. Then the whole thing seemed to end too soon, and the characters are like "we're safe" and I'm like no you aren't, there's too many pages left... and then unbelievably the heroine does something totally INSANE and that of course is the real black moment when all will be revealed.

Not my favorite Lynette Eason book but a still a page-turner.

This is book three in the series, but it stands alone. Still, fans will want to read Always Watching, Chasing Secrets, and Without Warning

I got a copy off Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Moving target the 3rd book in the Elite Guardian series.

Maddy Mckay and Quinn Holcombe have been kidnapped, dropped off on a deserted island and are being hunted by a madman. Knowing that they need to work together if they are going to survive.

From the first chapter this book takes a hold of the reader and demands their attention. It will take them on an emotional roller coaster ride.

I liked Maddy and Quinn as a couple, but in all honesty it took a while, almost half of the book before I got there. Individually they were wonderful characters. I was impressed with the way the author wove their backstories into the plot. This is a book that is full of twists and red herrings. Just when you think that you might have it figured out, you are thrown another curve.

Along with Maddy we get to interact with all the characters that work in the Elite Guardian agency. Some more then others but it was nice to have that interaction.

This book can be read as a stand alone even though it is part of a series. There is enough backstory written into the plot so that the reader will not feel lost.

Moving Target is a Serial Killers playground or so they think. This book is like an amusement park ride - which ride? Well the Space Mountain - you are going along up and down and Wham! A smack in the face - Surprise in the ride. You are reading the book and Quinn and Maddy are after the Serial Killer and Wham! Something happens - you then hit a Whip in the ride from one side to the other and you are like what the heck just happened? In the book you have the Serial Killer turning the tables and you wonder with the breath beaten out of you what is coming up next? Are they going to survive? Will they get the Serial Killer? Who is the Serial Killer? and when you do see light of day and the ride (book) is over you are soooo upset because it was too short and you want more so much more...but then you think hey - maybe they will write another one if we are lucky....... I received a copy of this book from Revell. All the opinions are my own of this book.

If you are searching for a spine-tingling, suspenseful thriller that will keep you peering over your shoulder, then look no further! Moving Target is a chilling who-dun-it that will keep you guessing until the deliciously creepy conclusion. Maddy McKay is one tough cookie who has an Achilles' heel where a certain tenacious detective, Quinn Holcombe, is concerned. However, a romantic relationship can't even be considered until they find the psychotic madman who is bent on exacting revenge by hunting them down like prey. Finely written with a spiritual thread interspersed throughout, I highly recommend Moving Target to every suspense lover!
