Fear was not part of God's original agenda for his creation.
It slithered onto the scene when Adam and Eve sinned, causing a tear in their
relationship with God. And even though fear touches every life and can still
debilitate people today, the news isn't all bad. Popular speaker and author
Grace Fox demonstrates how believers can face their fear and actually let it be
a catalyst for change.
Readers will learn how to stop hiding from God and instead develop
a deeper relationship with Him. This is what she calls "the upside of fear":
When we cry out to God for help, He answers, and we experience Him in new ways.
Each chapter highlights a particular area where readers can begin
to experience freedom from fears about their personal identity, their finances,
their kids, the future, and more.

Jo Franz5 Stars Out Of 5July 3, 2008Jo FranzReading this book brought back so many personal experiences I have had to give to God! Fox has written what I truly believe--we can be free of fear even in the midst of the worst storms of our lives! Her examples are easy to relate to since most of us have "been there, done that" with at least some of them. The Points for Progress provide the reader with excellent insight into the heart of each concern and then the Promises to Ponder give us the hope we need to carry out the necessary soul-searching. I love books with prayers in them, and Grace's prayers at each chapter's end are precious. I highly recommend this book, and having been a person filled with fears, I have the right! (Smile)
Jeanne Zornes5 Stars Out Of 5December 6, 2007Jeanne ZornesWho doesnt have a fear or twoor several dozendragging her down? And where are the standard-bearers to help us face our fears? Grace Fox is one such standard-bearer in this thoughtful and practical book. She touches on the fears facing the majority of women: our children, finances, health, tomorrows unknowns, our personal limitations, being rejected, our past failures, and the aging process. A glance at her footnotes will show that many of her updated illustrations come from the intense research of personal interviews. (Among the most memorable: the faith of a quadruple amputee who survived a life-threatening illness.) These are woven together with Biblical wisdom, with each chapter ending with focus questions, Bible verses to meditate on and a scripture prayer. Graces vulnerability about her own fears makes this book even more authentic.
Kathi Macias5 Stars Out Of 5September 19, 2007Kathi MaciasGrace Fox has nailed the fears that pierce a woman's heart and prevent her from experiencing the true joy and freedom that are her birthright as a child of the living God. For too long we women have allowed ourselves to walk in the shadow of fear, missing out on the sunlight that beckons us and is ours for the taking. Grace shows us how we can move from the shadow into the sunlight once and for all and, in turn, help others to do the same. Complete with provocative points to ponder, Scriptures to meditate on, and prayers to pray, "Moving from Fear to Freedom" is a must-read book for any woman who desires to live in the truth that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind."
