nkwbookreviewer4 Stars Out Of 5Vision & Strategy throughy 2050June 7, 2016nkwbookreviewerQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4The Seven Mountain Renaissance, Vision and Strategy through 2050 is written by author Johnny Enlow. It is the third book in his series after The Seven Mountain Prophecy and The Seven Mountain Mantle. In the first two books the author reveals his belief how Christians are called to display the kingdom of God in the seven primary spheres of society. Those are religion, family, education, government, economy, media, and celebration or the Arts. In this third book, Enlow cites changes he believes will happen all the way to the year 2050 in each of these areas. I have not read the first two books and would have benefited greatly if I had read them before reading this one.
The author has researched his book well. He provides information on the early church, women in church, and modern day issues. Stating he has had visions and Words from God, the author writes about God, the Spirit, and what he refers to as the Seven Mountains. It is a thought provoking book. One that stays with you long after you have put it down. Enlow encourages you to find your Mountain or area of influence and go to work. He does not think short term, one or five years. His plan is a long term one.
There are many parts of the book I agreed with and liked. Some moved me. As with all things, there were other parts I did not agree with or particularly even like. This is one book that will be to each individual's own taste or belief. I rated it a 4 out of 5 stars. A copy of this book was given to me by The Book Club Network for my honest review.

From the back cover: You are living in a new era
Historys greatest renaissance; a spiritual one; is about to unfold before our very eyes.
In his first two Seven Mountain books, The Seven Mountain Prophecy and The Seven Mountain Mantle, author Johnny Enlow showed how Christians are called to manifest the kingdom of God in the seven primary spheres of society: religion, education, family, government, economy, media, and the arts. Now, he reveals the changes he expects to take place over the next several decades in each of these spheres.
We have entered an Era of Renaissance that will not be complete until the invisible God is made visible through the influence of His ambassadorial children in every area of society. The first Renaissance in history showcased the achievements of man, but this new renaissance will display the brilliance and works of God for the whole world to see.
By 2050, an on-fire, loving church with a hope-filled worldview will be globally advancing, walking in unprecedented signs and wonders and supernatural manifestations of power. Many nations will walk in a high level of national transformation.
How will you respond to this new era? Will you help your own nation to experience a far-reaching renaissance, to the glory of God?
The definition of Renaissance is, the activity, spirit, or time of the great revival of art, literature, and learning. It is time we focused on God in a new manner. Reverend Enlow feels that it is time that hearts be stirred to believe in Him in an upgraded manner for all that He is about to do in this unprecedented age of the kingdom of God. He will be the Great Orchestrator of this Era of Renaissance we have just stepped into. There are seven primary spheres that are religion, education, family, government, economy, media and the arts. Each one of us has a role to play it is just a question of finding the sphere that we are most talented for. This book is designed to help you find your role. I recommend it as a gift for friends and family so that they can find their roles as well.

***** 5 Stars
This book engaged me in an area I have not adventured into before. The book is thoroughly researched and gives historical facts to bring readers along to current times.
I really appreciated hearing about the background of the evangelical church body and the charismatic church body. That alone is worth the money and time investment in this book. I was fascinated hearing about early church leader's views on slavery, women's roles in the church, and the value placed upon the Holy Spirit in relation to the written word in the Bible,. I can't say I personally agree with every conclusion of this author, however I found great value in reading his thoughts to consider.
These days, especially in the USA, Christians can at times feel they are being put down and made irrelevant. This author has ways of presenting worldwide realities in seven areas of Christian engagement that are highly encouraging. Christians who have felt down will have reason to take a higher view of what is happening.
The book has a lot of supportive examples of what is expected to be happening around the world. The Holy Spirit's advancement of God's kingdom on earth will happen through actions of those dedicated to God's agenda. You will be excited to read the details. I have not yet completed the whole book, but look forward to each chance I get to read in it. I have shared passages with my husband who has a good grasp of history. It held his interest, and he learned things he did not know.
I thank bookfun.org, the author, and Whitaker House, the publisher for giving me this book in exchange for my honest review. Although not everyone who is Christian will agree with all the author has written, the author is sincere in his beliefs, and I now have a fuller understanding of the love and hopefulness of the worldwide charismatic Christian movement.

There are two books prior to this one that I haven't read but intend to buy and read. It gives the seven steps of Renaissance for the church and for Christians through 2050. I found this book to be thought provoking, easy to read and easily understood. It does answer a lot of questions that you might have about the times we live in.
I didn't agree with everything; however, some areas truly spoke to me. I think after I have read the previous two books I will be more open to some of the steps. This is new to me and the way he explains the steps.
