Handle the money like it's God's moneybecause it is!
Life consists of much more than merely finances. Yet most don't consistently live like it.
To help people put their finances under the submission of God, leading financial author and nationally-syndicated radio host Larry Burkett has created More Than Finances. This great resource is a twelve-week small-group Bible study providing teaching on God's money management principles. Burkett specifically designed this helpful study to foster and encourage financial accountability.
Lisa Ensele5 Stars Out Of 5October 12, 2009Lisa EnseleThis book is practical and motivating. It's got all kinds of budget sheets to help and things are easily and clearly explained for filling them out. Directions are great and it's good to have clear guidance on how to figure out income and saving/spending patterns. Most importantly, this book throughout highlights God's view on finances, giving scripture references. It acknowledges several misguided views about money and then takes it beyond that to give hope and motivation to change personal dysfunctional financial patterns and perspectives. It identifies different problems in regard to how money is viewed and then goes on to show how God pours out blessing (more than just financially but in many other areas too) when the heart is right and He is relied on through good choices and following His will. It's especially highlighted that what He gives is used and disseminated to not just bless the individual personally but others as well. It was helpful the book referred to blessing and wealth in more than just financial terms but in the areas of family, health and other intangible things God gives that are valuable too.
