Had the potential to be better!
November 11, 2013
The message in this movie and the fact that it is based on a true story with the little girl playing herself made this movie worth watching for me as she was an inspiration...although I would not recommend it to someone else. The acting was so poor...scenes for crying that not a single tear was shed...it almost looked funny! It also jumped around in the story line and made it hard to follow at times. It had the potential to be a great movie but was poorly done sadly enough.
I don't know why the other 2 reviewers found this movie awful. This is a true story and stars Kelsey Minick Who is the little girl in this movie. She really is disabled. This is the true story of what happened to her and, The movie was made on a low budget so don't expect a Hollywood type budget but, I think everyone did a great job. During the end credits there is home movie footage of her swimming in her pool and riding a special bike and, seeing her in these home movies brought tears to my eyes.
Give the movie a chance, I think you will like it.
The DVD was only five dollars so I thought I would take a chance. I sure wish I would not have wasted my money. I am sorry to have to say that as I believe each person was sincere in their acting. However from the git go, it was just a poor movie. The acting was bad. they jumped all over the place in the movie. It was loud one minute and quiet the next. The worst thing was the bad acting. I really mean bad acting. Save your money.
This film had the potential to be a great film with a great message but was poorly done. I think I could have done just as well if I had taken my home video camera and shot it at my home. The acting was very amateur and the story line was hard to follow. Don't waste your money.
