I was very disappointed by this book. I under stand the need for the topics discussed in the book, but he uses entirely too much space on topis that dont require long , drawn out explanations. By way of example, the author devotes three lengthy chapters to slavery vs servitude in the Old Testament when he could have just rewritten the first chapter on the topic to include the elements of all three chapters. The one chapter, by rewriting it, could be just slightly longer and eliminated the other two chapters entirely. Much space is wasted with excessively wordy explanation making it take longer than it needed to to get through the book and made it less clear in its presentation.

I have read several books on dealing with the objections to God and the Bible by what is being termed the New Atheists and all of them have blown this book right out of the water. I sincerely doubt that I will be reading any more books by this author.

What a great study of one of the most attacked subjects of Christianity. I have already recommend this book to people who have children who have rejected the God of the bible for "Moral reasons." Thank you Paul Copan for your work in this area.

This is one of the worst books I have ever read concerning Christianity. To state that Canaanite children were done no harm by killing them because they went to heaven is one of the most absurd things I have ever heard.

Great book that helps us understand God's dealings in the Old Testament.
