LadyLiberTEA4 Stars Out Of 5Fresh, Natural, Endearing, Uplifting, All-Age True Story :)February 10, 2018LadyLiberTEAQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Based on an endearing inspiring true story lovingly produced by that grown-up horse-loving awkward young teen & her later hubby, this is a fresh, natural, uplifting, all-age family tale of an appealing teen like a female Mark Twain but a good example of embracing effort & achieving a dream, her single mother played by a familiar actress, and the man who got another shot in life (not a romance) by likeably matured famous actor Don Johnson.
This refreshingly G-rated yet realistic summer tale spares us vulgarity, obscenity, blood, violence, horror. It includes the example of a non-inebriated man putting away a bottle of alcohol temptation. The Biblically-warned vegetarianism of the loving mother in the arts is sensibly and not obnoxiously protested by the practical young girl. (Another's review here about a "modesty issue" must be for a different film unless referring to the other schoolgirls' mid-thigh skirt lengths worn since the 1960s. Everyone is fully dressed. No mouth kissing.)
Nana of 122 Stars Out Of 5DisappointedFebruary 3, 2016Nana of 12Quality: 5Value: 3Meets Expectations: 2After reading the reviews I felt it would be a good movie to purchase. Upon watching it I was very disappointed concerning the modesty issue. It is not a movie I will be having my husband and son watch, nor can share it will others. If you are concerned about moral purity this is not a movie to watch. Other than that the movie is well done and enjoyable. The slight new age undertone is in it.
Dee5 Stars Out Of 5Heartwarming movieJanuary 13, 2016DeeQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5What a wonderful family movie about a teenage girl not afraid to be different and a bonding relationship with a horse. Excellent performances from all of the actors

eorjs5 Stars Out Of 5Moondance AlexanderOctober 17, 2015eorjsQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This being based on a true story you know that some liberties are taken to make this story entertaining. The overall story has the hand of God all over it as I viewed the story. God knows us before we are even born and is able to guide and help us through the Holy Spirit, and you see this in Moondance through her gentle and loving spirit as she lights us up through her story. The example she sets is what God wants to see in all of us. She keeps turning the other cheek and acts as Christ would in the trials she faced and won each person over with her kindness and love! I am 70 years old and she touched me enough to make me rethink my own actions.
