I got this because I thought it could help me out (my baby is 8 months old) but most of it only applies to newborns and if you get it for a mom with a newborn she will not have time to read it while it still applies to her! The page count is deceiving as almost 1/2 of the pages only have a few decorative sentences on them...and the other pages are a large font so only about 1 paragraph or two fits on a page...

This was a short easy read - great to read while feeding or nursing. Full of helpful tips and very reassuring for a first time Mom. I read it when my new baby was 6 weeks old and it was so encouraging to know that the way I was feeling and what I was going through are normal! Would be a great shower gift for a first time Mom.

This is the perfecting timing for me to read this book. My daughter is seven weeks old and the advice here is priceless. Not so much necessarily to "learn", but more to hear that I am not crazy and not alone. So far all of The New Mom's Guides that I have read are fabulous and this one is right along with the others. I look forward to reading more. This one alone makes me want to look up a MOPS nearby.
