Product Description

Modern American and World History: A Literature Approach for Intermediate Grades features full-color pages that includes notes on each book, recommended supplemental literature, resources, activities, comprehension questions, vocabulary, and suggested web links.

Covering the American Civil War through the present day, this Charlotte Mason-based guide will introduce students in 5th-8th grade to the Wright Brothers, Sergeant York, World War I & II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars, Jackie Robinson, the Cold War, the ongoing War on Terror, and more.

Based upon living books, students read literature (sold-separately) from great authors such as Frederick Douglass, Lois Lowry, Gladys Aylward, and others while following the convenient lesson plans. Chronologically-ordered lessons include easily-understood, numbered instructions on what to read and questions based upon the reading. Exercises help readers to learn the history of America along with corresponding biblical principles, poetry, geography, character studies, and more! Students will complete a separate notebook where their reports, poetry, copy work, and other written exercises are kept. This guide is designed as a 36-week course with 3-4 lessons per week.

83 full-color pages, softcover. Non-reproducible, non-consumable resource. All required books sold -separately. Answer key included.
