Just A Mom
I appreciated this book very much. It presented sensitive and delicate information in a Godly, informative manner. The author was careful to protect young lady's sense of modesty, leaving out graphic pictures of body parts. I loved the Biblical word pictures that she used, providing edification and respect. I greatly appreciated the metaphor of God the Father, who loves and heals whose who have been violated or made poor choices in the past. Her book provided hope for a fresh start.
This book is actually very small. I hadn't checked the dimensions, so I was quite surprised when it arrived. The book covers a few basics of how girls and boys develop (very few), but the main focus is in telling teens to wait until marriage to have sex. I have a few concerns about this book. First, every picture is of caucasian people who are thin. Also, the stories at the back are not ones that I would read my kids, actually--though I am going to teach them about abstinence and just what this books says. I think the focus of this book is too narrow and brief given the subject.
