The Mad Minute is a 6-8 week computational skills program that teaches the number facts to the point of instant recall. It consists of 100 game sheets for grades 1-8 and takes a minute a day. The Mad Minute provides an orderly way of reviewing whatever basic facts students have been exposed to but probably have not mastered, and it does so in a way that delights students. It also varies the quantity of basic facts that a student at a given achievement level can reasonably be expected to recall in one minute. Thus, Level A students never work with more than 30 basic facts at a time, and Level F students work with as many as 60 basic facts at a time. The Mad Minute contains "game sheets" for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and percents.
