Vendor: Moody Publishers
Publication Date: 2010
One minute after you die, you will either be elated or terrified-and it will be too late to reroute your travel plans.
When you slip behind the parted curtain, your life will not be over. Rather, it will be just beginning-in a place of unimaginable bliss or indescribable gloom. With over 650,000 copies in print, One Minute After You Die opened a window on eternity with a simple and moving explanation of what the Bible teaches about death. This DVD brings One Minute After You Die to life.
Follow Dr. Lutzer through eight 30-minute teachings as he urges readers to study what the Bible says on this critical subject, bringing a biblical and pastoral perspective to such issues as the death of a child, trusting in God's providence, and preparing for your own final moment. This DVD companion is perfect for small group, large group, or personal study use. It can also be used in conjunction with the brand new One Minute After You Die Study Guide.

However, be prepared for lectures as he is not the most dynamic speaker.

Very disappointed as I expected more--especially since there is so much interest in life after death.

We are all Christians and it made us think about what will take place after we die. A few items in the series made us really think deeply about the author's views on what takes place the moment we die. It brought about some deep discussion and we are not sure if we agree with some of the theology offered. Our men's group has been together for a little over four years and we have studied many different biblical topics during that period of time. Our group has grown spiritually and are better able to discern what is and is not biblical (not experts!). Even though some of the points in the book and on the DVD made us go hummmm, again, it brought up good discussion. At the end of this study, two of our men wanted their own copies of the DVD to look at it even deeper and to share with thier family members.

He does quote scripture, but just enough of that, coupled with a bit of fun humor, make this DVD instructional quite pleasant. The price was the clincher. I heartily recommend this item to ANYONE interested on what to expect after death. He does also teach on how we live our lives here & now determines where we go after our last breath. Definite 5*!

Q: What is the DVD like? Basically what I'd like to know is what the DVD shows. I mean, is it a video of a pastor talking for hours? Still pictures? Animations? Interviews? Will this hold a teenager's attention? Thanks!
This is a series of lectures, however, they are done in a conversational format and Mr. Lutzer is an engaging speaker. I believe they would hold the attention of a teenager.
