MichaelIndian Trail, NCAge: 55-65Gender: Male4 Stars Out Of 5Ministering In Patronage CulturesOctober 27, 2019MichaelIndian Trail, NCAge: 55-65Gender: MaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Good title on how to minister in a patronage relationship defined in the book as a "reciprocal relationship between a patron and a client". Many topics on the subject are addressed, including:
- How patronage is expressed throughout the world.
- Misconceptions of patronage.
- Biblical examples of patronage.
- How patronage correlates to theology (i.e., God, salvation, etc.).
- How patronage, when properly applied, helps relationships.
Other areas are also covered. The book is well-written, easily understandable, flows smoothly from chapter to chapter, and contains many good practical suggestions and examples. Good and timely read where sensitivity and respect need to be applied in such a relationship.
I was given a review copy by IVP Academic in exchange for a fair review and appreciate the opportunity.
