Joshua Hebrew Sojourner4 Stars Out Of 5Lacks the Duet 6:4-6, 11:7-12 and marketing suggest Angel WorshipAugust 3, 2016Joshua Hebrew SojournerQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 3There are two problems with this item as marked (discussed in 2nd and 3rd paragraph). Background for the Mezuza or Mezuzah: It is the only icon a Believer, according to scripture, is encouraged to place upon their entrance (Ps 119:130). There are seven biblical convocations or meetings with The L-rd. At these events, in The L-rds presence, objects are used to physically contextualize and mentally immerse (baptize) into understanding The L-rd (Rom 1:20), none is commanded to be placed or mounted in one's home. The Mezuzah is twice expressed (two witnesses 2Cor 13:1, Mat 18:16) by The L-rd to be place upon the entry into your home (Deut 6:4-9,11:20). Our Deliver and Messiah Yeshua or Jesus said the Shema was the greatest commandment and was inbodied by loving our neighbor who according to Lev 19:18,34. Shema ref: Mat 22:35-40, Mark 12:28-31 and Luke 10:25-28. Yeshua also said if we love Him we will keep His commandments. He presided over creation and dictated in Hebrew the Pentateuch or Torah (instructions, not law) to Moses Num 7:89 12:6,8 Ex 33:11 34:19. Deut 6 and 11 are The L-rds commandments and with the Holy Spirit we can follow them (John 14:15, 21, 31.) This last quote gives us much to ponder and awe ...mezuzah is used ...18 times ... same numerical value as alive... (hebrew4christians.com). Whose blood was the on door, execution stake, upon the stone, etc? What will be written upon our hearts? What covers that blood? Jews and Christians should place the Mezuzah where they eat and fellowship before The L-rd, such actions are an expression of The Covenant. Christians should also be cognizant/mindful and intimately familiar with the Mezuzahs meaning to living a G-dly life with the help of the Living Word.
The 1st problem with this Mezuzah it lacks Deut 6:4-9 and 11:7-21, while these texts are not required to be inside to post it upon your entrance to dwelling with The L-rd, the bible states that we are to study (2 Tim 2:15) the word. Placing the most important commandment in such a place is powerful reminder of The L-rd we love.
The 2nd problem with is with the text for he shall give his angels this is completely out of context with meaning of Mezuzah and could suggest some kind of supernatural protection for having placed Mezuzah on a car. No G-d fearing Christian should call upon angels or invoke them to perform, this is not taught in the bible or ever suggested, and is offensive to Jewish Believers in the true and living L-rd they also love. The Mezuzah servers as reminder to keep His Commandments. Thus we are to be an Israelite (struggle) with The L-rd, who is One, with all your loving heart (which is made pure by Yeshua Heb 10:22), soul, and might or resources. I paraphrase here because no translation or paraphrase servers to fully immerse mind and heart in the original text. Yeshua supplied a second witness to this text requiring us to show our faith with the action of ...love your neighbor as yourself. I say these things fully aware of some but not all my daily short comings. There is no condemnation here beloved (Rom 8).
