SueVer4 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful translation...small printAugust 26, 2016SueVerQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0This translation of the Bible is wonderful. Easy to read and understand. The only complaint I have is that the print is very small for older people.
Roberts/w WashingtonAge: Over 65Gender: Male5 Stars Out Of 5Nice little Paraphrased Bible.April 23, 2015Roberts/w WashingtonAge: Over 65Gender: MaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a nice little Bible paraphrased by Eugene Peterson. It is easy to read, and understand. The print is small, but clear, and the paper is a nice bright white. This would be a great little devotional Bible for daily scripture reading, along with a true translation, like a KING JAMES, NEW AMERICAN STANDARD, NEW LIVING TRANSLATION, or a NEW KING JAMES Bible.
Ask the HOLY SPIRIT to lead you in reading and study of Scripture, HE will open your understanding in a wonderful way.
May GOD bless you in your study of HIS WORD>
Teresa F.5 Stars Out Of 5July 5, 2014Teresa F.I LOVE this translation! It is easy to understand, follow and very clear. I would recommend this version to new believers and followers of Jesus who have been walking with Him for years.
Received this copy from the publishers for my opinion and review.

mountainsAlberta CanadaAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5A great addition!November 4, 2013mountainsAlberta CanadaAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4It was a treat to sit down and read through scripture as if it were a story book. I think The Message:Remix has earned a permanent place in my daily devotions!
I found the language easy to process and very visual. It added such impact and imagery to my personal bible study time.
I love the compact size and the pleasing wood surface cover. I like how the scripture references were in the side margins instead of within the actual text. This helps the words to flow more like a story.
However I found the pages far too thin and difficult to turn. The words from the back side of the page were distractedly obvious on the page I was reading.
At the beginning of each book of the Bible there is an introductory page. I found these informative and enlightening. Peterson is a Pastor and his pastor-heart is found on every page but especially in the introductions. Each one I read felt like sitting in a pew listening to a great reflection in a sermon. (Hopefully that doesn't sound boring to you - that is not my intention.)
One last comment is that The Message: Remix is intended for a Youth market. From the sections I read I found it useful and applicable to all ages.

Q: The Message Remix 2.0 What does 'Remix' mean? Also, it states, "includes the exclusive Message numbering system." What does that mean?I bought my husband the Message on DVD & he has really enjoyed it; it's the 1st Bible he has been able to read & understand. My daughter has asked me if the Message was an accurate version of the Bible, as she has never read the Bible because she has reading comprehension problems & someone recommended the Message. I told her that from what I had heard on the dvd I thought it was fne. But then the Remix 2.0 has confused me. Can someone help me be sure that what I'm encouraging is God honored & biblically correct. God bless you for your time in answering this.
The text of the "Remix 2.0" edition is the same text as other editions of 'The Message' that we sell. The main difference is in the formatting and size of the text. Typically the "Remix" edition is smaller than the other editions we sell.
