3 Stars Out Of 5
A Merry Heart by Wanda Brunstetter
August 17, 2016
This is my first time reading Wanda Brunstetter, after having read all the Beverly Lewis books available. Overall, the story line was good, yet predictable. Character development was sound, but the relationships between characters left a lot to be desired. The main character, Miriam, was good at being depressed and at putting off other people. Her main love interest, Amos, was mute, though filled with intense feelings for Miriam. I could identify most with his daughter, Mary Ellen. She seems to be the most expressive person in the book. It's an
average book, in my experience. Hoping to see improvement in the second book in the Brides Of Lancaster County series.
