Publisher's Description

Meditation is a way for individuals to train their minds through mental exercise and detached observation to reach a heightened state of awareness or a particular mode of consciousness, and forms of reflective or disciplined meditation ask individuals to focus on a specific question, event, or theme. In Christianity, this kind of reflective meditation is called contemplative prayer; the goal is to understand and know Jesus intimately, and the focus is often on the events of His life.

Meditations on the Rosary places us at the intersection of spirituality and psychology and takes us through the mysteries of the rosary, using over fifty passages of scripture, five psalms, twenty illustrations, and twenty guided-imagery scripts. The scripts are designed to be interchangeable, using four basic introductions, twenty distinct bodies focused on the mysteries, and one closing for all. It is ideal for pastoral counselors, coaches, or mental health professionals, and by using sensory awareness, the guided imagery brings us right into the context of the actual events in Christ's life, creating direct interaction with the characters involved.

With these exercises, we can foster psycho-spiritual growth, initiate insight and personal development, be inspired through revelation, and create positive change in our hearts, minds, and souls. If we cultivate mindfulness and sensory awareness, we can be immersed into the scenes of Christ's life, drawing closer to Him in a personal and inspiring relationship.
