Five and a half years pass. Celia's buried her dreams so that she can afford to raise her daughter. Ty's achieved all of his goals. Or thought he had, until he looks again into the eyes of the woman he couldn't forget and into the face of the child he never knew he had.

Loraine4 Stars Out Of 5Learning to forgive and trust again - good romanceMay 24, 2017LoraineQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Basically two people make their fair share of mistakes and have to learn to forgive and move on so that they can learn to trust again. Toss in a heated romance and a precocious little girl and you have the makings for a good read. I enjoyed watching Ty and Celia overcome those mistakes and find true love. Full review at my website.
Crystal5 Stars Out Of 5Untraditional Romance That Will InspireMay 8, 2017CrystalQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Celia Park has had a crush on handsome Ty Porter since high school. So when the two reunite as adults after one of Ty's bull riding competitions, she is thrilled that Ty finally seems to be returning her affections. After a swift romance and an impromptu trip to a wedding chapel in Las Vegas, Ty and Celia enjoy a wedding night of bliss- only to wake up the next morning to a different song. Admitting that he is actually in love with another woman and regrets his impulsive actions, Ty breaks Celia's heart and walks out of her life. Over five years later Ty seeks out Celia to finally divorce her, but he finds more than Celia in his search- he also learns that his one night as Celia's husband resulted in a daughter he never knew he had which changes everything. Ty wants to be part of their daughter's life, so he and Celia come to a mutual agreement to allow him back into their lives. Over the course of time, Ty begins having true feelings for Celia, but she staunchly resists his charms feeling that she could never trust him again- especially with her heart. The two must come face-to-face with past hurts, their own wrongdoings, temptation, and forgiveness as they look inwardly and to God for what the future may hold for them.
Wade puts a new twist on the traditional romance in Meant to Be Mine. Not only does their marriage begin in a very non-traditional way, but Ty's unexpected change of heart toward Celia and his desire to be a better man for a chance at love and a real marriage with her is a refreshing change to the all-too-typical "cut your losses and move on" mentality that would be expected of two people found in the circumstances Ty and Celia face. I loved that despite Celia's resistance, Ty persistently tried to prove himself trustworthy and continually wooed her. Their interactions with one another after Celia lets her defenses down and decides to give him a chance are electrically charged, funny, and tender. I truly wasn't sure if Celia would forgive Ty and build a future with him after what she thought was his final betrayal, but I'm happy to say that the ending exceeded my expectations!

KatyTennesseeGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful story with complex charactersMay 8, 2016KatyTennesseeGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I love this second book in the Porter Family series. Although if you missed the first book, this one can easily be read as a stand-alone novel. It is a wonderful story with complex characters that can easily be thought of as friends. The author is so adept at making the story real to readers that I felt like I was right there in this Christian fiction romance.
This gripping story pulls the reader in from the first line, Will you marry me? After that, it is a roller coaster ride all the way to the end.
I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys contemporary Christian romance. Do not miss Meant to Be Mine.
ShannahAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Sweet story of forgiveness and love!May 8, 2015ShannahAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I absolutely devoured this story! It was amazing. From beginning to end, I was rooting for Celia and Ty. I loved Addie and it was nice getting to reconnect with Meg, Bo, and Jake (I can't wait to read his story!). Being back in Holley, Texas was like putting on a comfortable pair of jeans and worn in cowboy boots. The story flowed effortlessly and kept me up late into the night to finish.
I absolutely loved Celia and Ty. Their spark, spunk, and downright witty banter back and forth made the story that much more enjoyable. Celia is smart, sassy, and a devoted mother. She is independent to a fault. Ty is impulsive, handsome, and heartbreakingly charming. If he was a real person, I feel like I would have been head over heals for him just like Celia was. Their spark was undeniable to the reader, though it took them a while to accept it themselves.
The message of the book was all about forgiveness. Both Celia and Ty have to work through some pretty major bitterness, regret, and self-loathing to accept the forgiveness from each other and most importantly the God who loves them. The sacrifices both characters have to make are symbolic of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for us, so we don't have to die and go to hell.
Overall, this was an amazing story and I look forward to reading more from this wonderful author!
Teddy GAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Good themes of forgiveness and trustNovember 12, 2014Teddy GAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Ty Porter and Celia Park connected in high school as friends, although Celia would have loved more. Given the chance to see Ty show his stuff as a champion bullrider in Las Vegas, Celia finds herself caught up in a whirlwind romance that she's always dreamed of, ending up at the cheesiest of Las Vegas wedding chapels. Those dreams are quickly dashed with Ty's first words the morning after, and Celia finds herself alone again, although, not exactly.
While there were aspects of this plot that were foreseeable, I appreciated that the author did stray away from the particular trap of having the girl catch the guy in a situation that looked worse than it was. I appreciated Celia's feistiness and reluctance to allow Ty back in wholeheartedly. Even her struggle with forgiveness felt authentic, and not trite. Forgiving what Ty had done should not have come easily, and it didn't. Uncle Danny, Addie, Ty's family, and other side characters helped round out the story. It looks like this a series, with the first book being about Ty's brother Bo and his wife Meg; I can hope that there will be another book about their brother Jake. This is a family I'd like to read more about!
I give this book 4 stars; I was invested in the characters and sucked into the story of their personal and interpersonal development and healing.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher, in exchange for my honest review.
