Author Bio

Matthew Henry (1662-1714) has been known and loved for three centuries for his devotional commentary on the Bible. It has not been generally known that he was also a distinguished preacher. He began preaching at twenty-four years old and held pastorates until his death. The greatness of his sermons consists in their scriptural content, lucid presentation, practical application, and Christ-centeredness.

Price, value, and Christianbook.com cannot be beat anywhere that I searched. Yes, the print is small, but the print clarity is good. I was very surprised by the quality of binding and over all feel and appearance of quality. These are not 1st, 2nd or ??? editions. Try finding those. They can be found, and I suppose there are those that don't mind paying a high price for them......but that ain't me. Ha!

I probably would have never had a set of Matthew Henry Commentaries had I not been told of these on Christianbook.com. The price is fantastic. The only complaint I have is with the quality of paper used. If higher quality paper would drive up the price however, the paper quality is not that important.
