Julie WKelso, WAAge: 45-54Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5No Answer Key available/Otherwise excellent series!November 8, 2016Julie WKelso, WAAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0We love this series. My daughter has done all three of the books available K, 1 and 2. The content is excellent! The pages have just a bit of color on them to be interesting but not at all overwhelming. The pictures are sweet and innocent. This series is very clearly written. Keep in mind though that there is not an answer key available. For the most part, a key isn't "needed" at this level but for ease of correcting the work without doing the problems yourself, it is handy at times. I inquired of CBD if one was available because I couldn't find it in the catalog listing and this was their response: "CBD carries a Teacher's Manual for the curriculum with teaching strategies and instruction but it does not include the text answers. We do not carry any book with the answers to the workbook." I would've given this 5 stars had the key been available but had to just give 4 since it is not.
ma piperSunbury, PAAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Old school math, and a great bargainMarch 19, 2014ma piperSunbury, PAAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I purchased this book mostly because of the price. Math is a subject I feel pretty confident teaching, so I don't feel like I need to spend a ton of money on math curriculum. However, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It is the math book I would design for my children myself. It thoroughly teaches the basic operations with plenty of drilling and repetition, which many modern math programs seem to lack. Everything is stacked! (Any parent who's dealt with "new math" with their kids knows what a big deal that is.) And it's relatively expectatious, introducing multiplication and division toward the end of the year. Also, the construction of the book itself is very good. It's a heavier grade of paper than some other books I've seen. In my opinion this is an excellent product, especially for the price!
