The Math-U-See Primer Student Workbook contains a number of worksheets for each lesson along with systematic review pages. Extra "Application & Enrichment" activity pages provide additional lesson practice through a range of age-appropriate activities (note that no solution pages for these activities are available). 426 perforated, softcover. Non-reproducible; consumable workbook.
This individual workbook is great for parents teaching multiple students, or for students taking a co-op class. It does not include any parent teaching material or manipulatives, which are necessary to use the program.
Jen5 Stars Out Of 5Good for reluctant learnerSeptember 24, 2017JenQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5After much deliberation and research I chose the MUS primer curriculum and am pleased so far. I have a student who is reluctant to want to learn and so far this has worked for us. The lessons are easy enough to keep his attention and there are lots of practice pages. I like that the worksheets are not filled with a lot of pictures and distracting animations. It's very simple and to the point. The DVD is nice as well because it shows me how to teach each lesson. (I'm sure that will be handy as we progress through the different curriculum levels.) So far we like it and will continue as long as this works for us.
April5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent!!August 11, 2017AprilQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Have used Math-U-See with 5 children over 8 years and have NO plans of stopping. This is an easy beginner workbook. Teaches them to write their numbers, count, and addition. I love the way it builds but in small bites. Having used the series all the way to Pre-Algebra, I can SEE how the books build on each one. Try it and you will NOT be disappointed. You will truly SEE math and how to use it in life!
Olga5 Stars Out Of 5Loved ItOctober 20, 2016OlgaQuality: 5Value: 3Meets Expectations: 5My daughter is in first grade and her teacher told me that she is behind. I bought this book to review the basics with her and to teach her things that she might have missed in kindergarten. My daughter loves this book. She prefers this book over her school homework that has pictures on it. Will definitely continue with this program. My son is doing Alpha right now and I will continue with Math U See next year as will.
nicole5 Stars Out Of 5Great for my kindergartenerSeptember 7, 2016nicoleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We've used this resource before with my son and I ordered it again for my almost five year old daughter. It starts simply, so it is not overwhelming for her. Tasks are short and easy to work through. We love Mr. Steve and his great approach to teaching math.
