Math-U-See is a complete, skill-based mastery curriculum for grades K-12. Designed to teach students specific skills in a definite, logical sequence, this systematic and cumulative approach will help students learn how to solve math problems and discover why they're solved that way.
Math-U-See’s newest program, Algebra 1: Principles of Secondary Mathematics, helps to prepare students planning to take the PSAT, ACT, SAT, and CLT tests and provides course requirements of the NCAA. The Universal Set includes the books and online resources you need to complete this course.
Student Worktexts: Student course materials are divided into two consumable books. Each lesson includes clear objectives, guided notes, examples, checkpoints, practice pages, mastery check pages, and targeted review pages. A laminated Formula Sheet/Mastery Rubric is also included.
Tests Book: Tests for each lesson, unit tests, a midterm test, and a final exam are all provided along with an answer key.
Digital Pack: an essential, required part of this course. It includes lifetime access to the 2-volume Instructor’s Handbook, video lessons of lesson content and walkthroughs of example problems, fully worked solutions, digital manipulatives, and extension lessons. Student and instructor log in options and progress monitory tools are also provided. The digital edition of the Instructor Handbook includes a Getting Started Guide, record-keeping forms, and reduced Student Worktext pages with marginal notes and answers. Answers include fully worked solutions are provided for all activities.
Prerequisite is Pre-Algebra, however it is highly recommended that the student also complete Math-U-See’s Algebra 1 Readiness Check.
Digital Pack system requirements: high-speed internet connection and Safari/Chrome with Javascript enabled in browser. Other course requirements that are not included are graph paper and a graphing calculator (or access to graphing software).
