Publisher's Description

On a cold, stormy evening in Ireland, five teenagers suddenly find themselves lost, separated, and unprepared for a dangerous quest "beyond the Veil" into Morsden Forest, a secret world hidden from ours. There they must learn to grow, learn to trust, learn to fight, learn to sacrifice, and learn to love in order to rediscover the first of seven lost jewels that contain the ancient Verses of the Master Song.
Together with a myriad of the Awakened—human like animals and plants—they will battle wild beasts, wraithlike doppelgängers, and an evil power nearly as ancient as creation itself.
Will they stand strong and discover the virtues they have within themselves? Or will they, too, fall to the Corrupted?

Author Bio

Andrew Maloney grew up in the backseat of a car, traveling across the States and abroad with his healing evangelist parents (see www.doveontherise.com). All of that traveling gave him lots of time, staring out the window, to come up with some fantastic ideas for stories. He graduated from the University of North Texas with an arts degree in writing, and has ghostwritten and edited more than a dozen nonfiction books. The Master Song and Verse of Valor are part of Andrew's epic, high fantasy series entitled Blue Time. The third novel in the series, Word of Wisdom, is scheduled for publication in 2019.
Andrew and his wife, Christy, live in the cross-timbers area of north Texas with their two sons, Connor and Christian.

Editorial Reviews

The Master Song is the closest thing I have found that approaches the magic, depth, and wonder of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The characters are real and believable; the story, though fantastic, never pulls any of those "amazing coincidences" I find so annoying. No, this is the real deal—the situations are serious, the reactions are real, and there are no shortcuts or cheap tricks. You go through it properly, or you simply don’t survive. What more could you ask from a master storyteller? And this is exactly what we have found in Andrew Maloney.

There are writers, and then there are storytellers. Andrew Maloney is both! When an author can open a new world and describe it as if you had been there before, then you know you are in good hands. From the opening line, you are whisked into a new realm and then ushered into a wonderful story hard to put down. With fantastic description blended within the realistic dialogue, The Master Song is one of those books that you will dwell upon much after it is over. You will relive the epic adventure in your mind and find yourself lost within your imagination sparked by a talented author—Andrew Maloney. Well done, Andrew, well done.
