Publisher's Description

For many believers, Mary has become one of many characters of the nativity story. In truth, the story of the mother of Jesus means so much more. Her journey of faith and obedience is representative of the path
each believer must travel. Just as Mary accepted the honor of carrying the baby Jesus, we too must receive the invitation to carry His Spirit and walk with Him.

Join author Gretchen C. Nelson as she paints a vivid picture of Mary the mother of Jesus, and brings her remarkable and timeless story to life.

Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  Teaching is a passion. I've been out of the classroom for a number of years, but teaching is in my blood. Retirement gave me a different way to teach--no longer Humanities Core, but the Word of God.

What was your motivation behind this project?  Simple: I had to get it out of my head and heart and on to paper. Believers need to know the application abilities of the Bible.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  A deeper knowledge of the Word and a further (not new as in never revealed before) revelation of Jesus in our lives as He is seen in Scripture. I'm not a 'new thing in Christendom' person. The old Word is good for today also.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  Learning more of His goodness in response to our obedience of trusting His will and Word.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Just about any author published before 1960. Tozer is a favorite.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  The Bible, I use the Revised Standard published in the '80's before many in the church determined that men wrote the Bible, therefore they can rewrite it, is God's great I said so. People can if they want, but I don't want to hang around when God's mercy toward them turns sour. Translations have become paraphrases these days and they're particularly dangerous.
