Ryan McKinley has tried to move on from his ex-wife, Abby. He's sulked, he's gotten angry, and ultimately he bought her dream house. Big mistake. Living alone in the massive two-story has only made him miss her more. When her parents call him out of the blue about their anniversary party in Summer Harbor, Maine, Ryan believes God has dropped a golden opportunity straight in his lap.
Abby McKinley never exactly told her parents about the divorce. A strained relationship with her dad has culminated in a distant relationship with her parents, but she's finally succumbed to her mom's pressure to make the drive for their 35th-anniversary party.
Then Ryan shows up on her doorstep, looking as handsome as ever. When he insists he's going to Summer Harbor, with or without her, Abby knows she can't say no. Her parents still think they're married and now Ryan knows it too. It's just a one-week road trip with the man who broke her heart. What could possibly go wrong?

I like the McKinley family and this time the focus is on Ryan. Ryan is still madly in love with Abby even though she divorced him. Truth is Abby is still in love with Ryan. Now they are going to share the car ride to her parents home. During this weekend we are going to learn just what caused the divorce and we are going to learn that there are hurts that run deep and the only one that can heal us of those hurts is God, Himself. No matter where you try to run you just cannot escape from God. Yes, this story is a hard story at times but there are also times when this is a sweet, lovable story between Ryan and Abby. Married til Monday is a sweet romance that has the best characters of Ryan and Abby in it. Im sorry that our visits with the McKinley family are ending however I do look forward to the next series from this authors talented pen.

KavRCanadaGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Amazing!August 17, 2015KavRCanadaGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5What could possibly go wrong indeed? Just about everything as Ryan and Abby try to navigate being together while not really being together. And in the midst of the subterfuge they are confronted with way too many memories -- both good and bad.
An emotional read that kept me on tenterhooks right to the very end. After reading the other Chapel Springs Romance books I felt a real allegiance to Ryan. He was so earnest and endearing in his desire to reconcile with Abby. It about broke my heart.
Abby, on the other hand, claims to have moved on. She certainly doesn't want to open old wounds and risk even more pain. But Abby's past -- long before Ryan -- was riddled with pain. The kind she's still carrying around with her. It makes her prickly and unresponsive...at first.
Ryan's relentless pursuit makes him a truly swoonworthy hero. Abby's resistance is agonizing. She's too pragmatic -- "Whether he liked it or not, they dragged their failed marriage behind them like a noisy string of cans on a "Just Married" car." (p. 57) The whole story is a riveting 'one step forward, two steps back' kind of read. Hunter does a stunning job of portraying the crushing heartache of divorce and the desperate hope of reconciliation. And the fact that Ryan and Abby were married makes the whole romance edgier. There are so many undercurrents and delicious nuances that constantly simmer below the surface.
A breathtaking love story that rises from the bitter ashes of monumental loss.
Rebecca ManeyGastonia, North CarolinaAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful Conclusion to an Enjoyable Series!August 1, 2015Rebecca ManeyGastonia, North CarolinaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Second chances elude Ryan McKinley, but that doesn't deter him from taking a leap of faith and accompanying his beautiful ex-wife on a road trip to her parent's anniversary celebration. Unbelievably Abby has never told her parents they divorced; three year ago, to be exact. What Ryan discovers during long hours in the car, and days spent under the microscope, is that the love that drew him to Abby in the first place has never subsided, and that the walls that drove them apart have been re-erected. Despite his ceaseless prayers and endless opportunities, it appears that Abby is going to literally drive out of his life once and for all.
Abby McKinley cannot believe that Ryan can still slip under her defenses so easily. Kind words, gentle touches and meaningful conversations bring the best of their marriage to mind, until the deep, dark forces of emotional pain and trauma from the past threaten to choke her. Ryan deserves someone who is whole, someone who is not broken, someone who can love him like he deserves to be loved. Someone . . . . just not her.
In this tenderly written final edition of Hunter's Chapel Springs series, one will find that faith and courage will have to unite, in order to bring about the "happily ever after" that Ryan and Abby most certainly deserve.
Melissa5 Stars Out Of 5Characters you will be rooting forJuly 2, 2015MelissaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have only ever read a novella by Denise and I really liked that. So I was excited to read a full-length book by her. Can I just say this wont be my last?
Wow. She created a story with two characters that I was totally rooting for.
Abby is a very broken young women. She has turned her back on God and has nothing to cling to now except her career. Her family is a mess and she carries the wounds her father inflicted on her.
Ryan just wants his wife back. He doesnt really understand what happened, why their marriage ended. But as the layers are peeled back he begins to see what Abby has been carrying all these years.
This book is full of wonderful scenes that draw these two together. I love stories of hope in marriage and this book is definitely that. Its truly beautiful and I highly recommend this one.
An e-copy of this book was given to me by the publisher through the BookLook Blogger program in exchange for an honest review.
SusanClover, SCAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great Ending to Great SeriesJune 30, 2015SusanClover, SCAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Abby and Ryan have been divorced for 3 years in this last book in the Chapel Springs series. Ryan has never stopped loving Abby and wonders what happened in their marriage. Abby, too, wonders why things went south the way they did.
Abby's parents call Ryan, inviting him and Abby to their 35th anniversary celebrations. Seems Abby hasn't informed them about the divorce. Ryan has never stopped thinking about Abby, even going so far as to buy their dream house for himself. He views this trip as an opportunity from God to maybe win Abby back. It's a very long drive and they'll have time to discuss things. Abby wants nothing to do with this and reluctantly agrees to let Ryan hitch a ride with her.
Things go south from there and Abby once again experiences great hurt at her parents' house. There was a reason she hasn't been home in years.
Just when things begin to look up, Abby shuts down and goes back to her own home, accepting a promotion that will take her clear to Minnesota, 9 hours away from Ryan.
But God isn't through with Abby, even though she's walked away from Him. God always is working for our own good and Abby needs to realize this.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Denise Hunter is great at family series books. I look forward to the next one she begins later this year. Set in Maine.
