This series from NT Wright is solid. It spends each lesson reviewing the Scriptures. This is something our Sunday School Class / Small Group enjoys, we actually study the Bible in Bible Study. It also allows for new people to visit and still participate in the discussion. The theology is orthodox, despite what some previous reviewer says (not sure where he is coming from?). The same series book on the gospel of John is better, but that is only because Mark (the gospel writer) tries to cover too much ground in one chapter and NT Wright includes all of it. Our class splits the lesson each week to make sure we have ample discussion time. So 20 lessons actually takes 40 weeks for us. One last thing, sometimes the icebreaker questions can be cheesy or seem forced. Overall, I give it 4.5 stars and would recommend it to other groups looking to dig into God's Word!

Our Bishop with the United Methodist Church wanted us to start a Bible study group and recommended this book, so I bought 10. We are very disappointed. He makes all kinds of simple mistakes, and asks stupid questions that a 1st grader could answer. He is off base in his theology, and I would not recommend any Bible study using NT Wright guides, and there are several. He is an Anglican Priest from England, and has strayed far from Biblical truth.
