Tedra Johnson5 Stars Out Of 5Nice geography supplement for American historyJuly 28, 2015Tedra JohnsonQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This was a nice way to tie geography directly to the topics we covered in America the Beautiful. I thought they made it fun asking students to use different colors to highlight landmarks, topography or other items of interest on each map. We enjoyed using America the Beautiful and doing the maps was something my daughters looked forward to.

It was a complete disappointment. Almost the entire maps book pertained to the FIRST textbook, with only a handful of instructions for the Part 2 textbook. Even so, many of the instructions were so basic, it was hardly worth the money. Instructions included such commands as "circle a certain city" or "outline such and such country." That's it? What a disappointment! The book our son used last year included instructions such as finding and color coding all the allied countries during a war, marking the entire trail pioneers followed across country, etc. Circling the name of a city would take about 10 seconds - not enough time for homeschoolers to log hours for mapping. It's such a shame that Notgrass can't get their supplemental materials right. The textbook is absolutely wonderful, but I was so unhappy with the maps book and also the Lesson Review book, but I had to keep the latter to obtain the quizzes. I did, however, return the Maps book.
