Mama, What Does Foster Mean?

This book is dedicated to my parents: Jim and Donna Hetrick You made a choice many years ago to love and accept children like me. When I came to you I was so damaged. But with love, you embraced me and taught me how to live and love. For that I am thankful To my husband: Gary Keith Your love and encouragement made this book possible. Thank you for being my best friend. To my children: Caleb, Abi-Gail, Elijah and Grace Each of you is a blessing to me from God. Never let anyone tell you that you don't fit. You each have an important role to play in this family. I am thankful for each one of you. Amanda Hetrick Keith has been working with children for thirty years. She has taught at a local Head Start for sixteen years. Her husband and her have been foster parents for ten years. Through our local Children and Youth agency they have adopted four children. They have had over twenty foster children in and out of their home. Amanda herself was once a foster child. God has done an incredible work in Amanda's life. May this story bring to life the day to day struggle that comes to children in our society. May we realize that what we say makes and impact
