DOH4 Stars Out Of 5Cornerstone Curriculum Making Math meaningfulFebruary 1, 2017DOHQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This product definitely works at all age levels. I used other curriculum for math, but found that this one really worked in helping them to reason through processes and understand concepts. The lack of color illustrations at first was somewhat disappointing for the kids. But, after they got into it, they really liked it and didn't seem to mind. The only problem I had with the program was logistics. It is confusing the way they lay out their page numbering. Instead of saying, 'turn to student page x', it says 'activity 5A', etc. It would be simpler to have that system for both the teacher manual and the student. You just have to be sure to have some kind of a marker for both teacher and student texts. I did find a lot of typographical errors. It needs to be well edited. But, I still will continue to buy it and use it. It has been an amazing approach to math!!!

Heidi L5 Stars Out Of 5September 25, 2008Heidi LI give this math curriculum 5 stars because it is very child friendly with LOTS of simple hands-on activities (using everyday items and/or paper cut-outs provided in the book) to reinforce concepts, rather than a lot of drill. My daughter is 5 years old, and she LOVES this math book. Last year, for k-garten, we used a more traditional type of math book, and she was NOT enthusiastic about math then. This year, it's completely different. She almost always asks if she can do her math book first because she loves the lessons and hands-on learning. Many days she asks to do more than one lesson because she's so excited about doing math now. I highly recommend this math curriculum! We are very pleased with it.
