Tell us a little about yourself. I'm the music pastor at Lakeview Church, and along with worship pastor Nathan LaGrange, I work with an incredible team of creative volunteers that are just building a local church right here in Indy week in and week out.
What was your motivation behind this project? This is our 6th live worship album, but first album to be released globally with Integrity Music. We believe in the power and expression of the local church and this project is just an extension of the people and passion of Lakeview Church. God has been birthing new songs from this congregation for a number of years and this release is simply a tangible representation of what God is doing at Lakeview.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? As with any worship project, we first and foremost hope that it draws people into the presence of God. But we also want to be an encouragement to other local churches that God can do great things through ordinary people when they make His purposes their primary objective.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? As with every project, I'm just overwhelmed with how God uses people who are planted in His House. I'm most deeply impacted by how much our team gave to make this happen. These people are amazing.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Who hasn't been influenced by Hillsong Church? They truly showed the world what church can be. We're also heavily influenced by incredible churches like Gateway, New Life, and Hillsong London.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: We want to be a resource. Our website, LakeviewWorship.com, has newsletters, blogs, podcasts, videos, and other free resources that are intended to inspire and equip the greater church. We're just a bunch of people sharing our experiences and insights, both good and bad, for other church leaders and people to benefit from. We hope it can continue to be a growing blessing to people worldwide.
