Diane Busch5 Stars Out Of 5Delightful and challengingFebruary 9, 2017Diane BuschQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5If you know who Chip and Joanna Gaines are, then you have to read or listen to this book! They both read the audiobook and it's so real - so them!
Their story is amazing! If I liked them before I love them now. Through all the years, the ups and the downs, they have trusted God and He has been their guide. Joanna is the level-headed organized planner and Chip is the fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants impulsive business man, salesman, builder, whatever. The two of them together make it work, but it's a marvel that their marriage works and their business together works. Pink and blue really do make purple.
They are talented and smart and industrious and very hard workers. They are loving parents to four children besides all they do with their shop, their home building, renovating, and flipping houses. It's amazing! And ironically as much as we all know them from their television show, they don't own a t.v.
This book is delightful and challenging. Go get it today - you will not be disappointed! (The center of the hardcover book has family photos through the years, and the end of the audiobook includes some live audio from a production meeting).
Linda5 Stars Out Of 5Loved it!!January 19, 2017LindaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This was a delightful read and it answered many questions in my mind about who this lovely couple from HGTV's "Fixer Upper" really is behind the scenes. It was wonderful to see how God was, and is, working in their lives. They are a shining example of where faith, love, and hard work can take you. An inspirational and motivational read!
Jon5 Stars Out Of 5God FirstJanuary 16, 2017JonQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Shows what can happen when you learn to follow those nudges, as the Spirit prompts. Shows, also, that marriage is more than two people sharing with each other. First commitment needs to be to God. Second commitment is to each other. Then comes children, family, friends.... The stable commitment to God and each other allows us to help others. A great book for couples and singles. When you get the order of commitment right, the rest will fall into place.
Chris5 Stars Out Of 5So GreatJanuary 10, 2017ChrisQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have become a fan of the show Fixer Upper. It is so enjoyable to watch a husband and wife work together and get along so well. So when they wrote a book and opened up their lives to us even more by sharing their ups and downs in their lives so far and how God brought them through it. Amazing! I really enjoyed that they are just real in the book they didn't hide things. Highly recommend this book.
