There's no real difference in the notes other than an explanation (forward) of the LSB translation at the beginning. But this is the first study Bible available in the LSB and if you have committed to the translation, then this is the Bible to have.

I appreciate John MacArthur's clear and accurate Bible teaching. He and Ken Ham both recommended the LSB version and I am not disappointed with this Bible. LOTS of notes and study help inside. I also bought one for my daughter and son-in-law and they both love it.

I feel the MacArthur study Bible has created a more disceplned learning experiance because the commentary is so precise and factual straight to the point good. As I am reading it there has been a truth that is straight forward guidence that makes me want to stand tall over spiritual matters. I will hold it strong in times of need. One of the best Bibles I have that creates a leadership quality.

I have two MacArthur hardback study Bibles and love them both, black easy readable type, paper thick enough that there is now shadowing or bleed-through. John MacAthurs study notes are a wealth of knowledge. I have had four Thomas Nelson Study Bibles and the quality has always been exceptional, but not this 2nd edition LSB. The paper is so thin, every other page sticks together and print shadows through from the other side. I know any notes taken would certainly bleed through. I am returning it and will wait until the next edition to get the LSB Study Bible, hopefully with a better quality paper and black ink, rather than grey ink.
