Tell us a little about yourself.  Paul supported his mission work by making tents. I've taken that example and worked in the world while also ministering to smaller churches in difficult areas. I worked as a church planter in the Czech Republic for ten years (fully supported) but have spent the last 15 years teaching in a public high school while preaching and ministering to churches in Eastern Pennsylvania, most recently the North Penn Church of Christ in Lansdale, PA. I have a BA in Biblical Studies, a BA in Human Communication, an MS in Missions, and an MS in Education.

What was your motivation behind this project?  One of our elders at church has book writing and publishing experience. He said I had important things to say and that I needed to write them down for a broader audience. I felt really good about the whole series and decided a more devotional approach to a gospel, Luke in particular, could really benefit others.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I want non-believers to come to Christ and I want believers to deepen their relationship with Him.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  I dug deep and the lessons I learned have stuck fast within me.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Who doesn't love C.S. Lewis? My favorite book of his is "Till We Have Faces," a lesser known work I try to read at least once a year. I write nothing like him - no one does. In addition, so many classic pieces of literature have stories of redemption from terrible depths and I find them compelling. On perhaps a more popular level, I have recently discovered a podcast called Tokens by Lee Camp that has been incredibly encouraging.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  If I have helped anyone in any way know Jesus better, that is enough.
