Tell us a little about yourself. Graduated from USF in December 1971. Married in 1975. Have two children. Had a twenty year banking career. Taught school for ten years in subjects of French, Spanish, & ESL,
Retired in 2004.
David has written five books since 2009.
What was your motivation behind this project? To explain the journey of discovering the "Hebrew Roots" of our Christian Faith.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? More of an understanding of how the Torah, God's teaching and instruction, obeying the Sabbath from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? We suffered through tragedies, but Yehovah (Yeshua) supplied all of our needs. Our faith grew as we saw the working of the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit) in our lives.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Rabbi/Pastor Hector Gomez, his wife, Pastor Evelyn Gomez, and their family of the "Relationship Enrichment Center" in Tampa, Florida, have a lot of compassion and love. They encouraged me greatly in the writing of this book.
Also, my wife's (Holly) constant encouragement helped me to the finish line.
I appreciate Pastor Lutzar of Moody Church in Chicago. Also, enjoy Billy Graham and Jonathan Bernis writings. Akso appreciate Rabbi Ralph Messer's books and Paul Wilbur's music.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: The Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit) inspired the book. Rabbi Hector Gomez opened his library of sermons for me.
