Sher1 Stars Out Of 5Sorry I read this seriesAugust 25, 2016SherQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0This is the first Karen Kingsbury series I have read. I have heard so much about her from friends that I decided to get this series. It is my first and last. I enjoyed the first two books but when I got into the third book I was getting very nervous about where it was going. The characters had changed so much and not for the better. Cody who had been a part of the Flanagan family was now cast out and almost considered bad. All along I really liked Cody and to have him change so drastically did not fit his character. Bailey also changed and became self-centered and caring only for herself. They both seemed to be commited Christians trying to follow Christ and somehow by books three and four that changed. Yes, I wanted Cody and Bailey to end up together. As they were both young, normally I would say they were too young to be so serious. Yet, the way Karen Kingsbury portrayed them in the first two books made me realize that sometimes people can have such a commitment to Christ that in spite of ups and downs their faith would keep them strong and win out in the end. This did not happen. I couldn't even finish the last book. I was so bothered by the turn of events that I got rid of all four books. I couldn't even give them away.

The prayer for her future husband turning out to be for Brandon surprised me. I picked up more of her books - they are so full of scripture praying and good family relationship building lessons. Send a message to Karen please - "Keep writing!"
