66 books, one incredible message
Gods Word is many thingsinstructive, historical, poetic. Yet to Jennifer Rothschild, the Bible is also an incredible love letter. In 66 Ways God Loves You, she walks you through each of the sixty-six books of the Bible and shows, in concise and thoughtful ways, how every book reflects Gods love for each of us, such as:
- In Genesis God fashions me with His hands.
- In Esther He Makes me royalty
- In Acts Gods Spirit comes to live in me.
- In I Peter God gives me victory over suffering.
Each chapter includes a succinct, meaningful reading on the message of that book in the Bible, along with a simple takeaway to help you bring the message to light in your own heart and life.

It is visually appealing and girly. I love the idea the author has used to find some truth and promise of God's love for us in each book of the Bible. It is a great book to continually reference and have laying around. I have already purchased this book twice. I bought it for myself and then purchased it for a friend.

Jennifer Rothschild has taken us through Gods Love Letter one book at a time. Through the 66 Books of the Bible, she draws us into the reality of Gods love through the beautiful displays of faithfulness for His children through the generations.
One of the things that compelled me through this book is Jennifers own story of loss and the redemption of one of Gods children. Her story shows that even though we can have a great loss, such as her vision loss, we can still know God in a very intimate way.
When Jennifer was a young girl, she became blind and although had already had experiences with the love of God through His Word, she overcame great adversity through her faith in Christ. Her trial is a beautiful illustration of how God is faithful to His children who remain in His love and obedient to His Word.
Jennifer spent her time listening to Gods Word and through that has given us such incredible insight into His heart and His love for us through each book of the Bible.
This book is not only beautifully written it is ordained with beautiful artwork.
This book would be great for anyone seeking to know God more or someone who loves the daily reminders of how awesome of a God we serve.
I would highly recommend 66 Ways God Loves You!

Cindy NavarroCullman, ALAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 566 Love Letters in One BookNovember 3, 2016Cindy NavarroCullman, ALAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The Bible is a book that is actually 66 books in one volume. It contains history, poetry, instruction, but it is also God's love letter to his people. In 66 Ways God Loves You, Jennifer Rothschild goes book by book as she walks with you through the 66 letters from God.
Those are just 3 examples of how God speaks to His people through His Word. Rothschild gives a short reading that sums up each book, along with Scripture that brings a deeper understanding. Using only a couple of pages for each book, this is a wonderful small devotional to use daily or to use as you read through the Bible. You can begin each book with this concise overview to gain a better understanding of what the Author is saying.
I love it! It is a small book, but it contains a powerful message of God's love for us. It's great that it also reminds me of a favorite song: "He Is" by Aaron Jeoffrey! This book has the same impact, letting me know the different ways God reveals Himself to me. Whether it is used as a reminder, a reassurance or balm to a broken spirit, I highly recommend this. It is also a wonderful gift for a friend or yourself. Definitely 5 stars.
Many thanks to Icon Media Group for providing me with a copy of this book at no cost to myself. I was not required to give a positive review.
bookwomanjoanOak Harbor, WAAge: Over 65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Encouraging little gift bookOctober 31, 2016bookwomanjoanOak Harbor, WAAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Rothschild knows the Bible as a love letter from God. She wants us to know it that way too. She has written this book to help us experience God's love in each of the 66 books of the Bible.
I really like the lessons she gleans from each book. Exodus reminds us God has set us free from the slavery of sin, insecurity, fear, and despair. We see from Leviticus that God lovingly provides protective boundaries for us. Judges reveals how God faithfully shows mercy to us in spite of our repeated failures. From Zechariah, we have the assurance that no matter how crazy the world gets, Jesus is coming.
Perhaps what I like best about this book is Rothschild's honesty. From Job we learn that God does not always save us from suffering but He sustains us through it. Similarly, from Daniel we see that God does not always deliver us from the fire but will not let us be alone as we go through it. From Obadiah, God isn't ignoring injustice just because He is allowing it. Justice will be done. (102) And from 2 Thessalonians, His love still lets us suffer... (167)
Rothschild knows what she writes about. She used to read the Bible as a youth. But a retinal disease caused her blindness at age 15. Now she listens to it and is still convinced it reveals the love of God.
This is a great book of encouragement for someone who feels discouraged or that they've disappointed God. They will see the generous love of God over and over as they walk through the Bible with Rothschild.

Seasons of GraceAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A Handy Reminder of God's FaithfulnessOctober 28, 2016Seasons of GraceAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5A beautiful cover graces this (6"x7") hardback book that is filled with the love of God for you. With a total of 66 short devotionals to remind you how much He cares for you, Jennifer has really been able to encourage my heart.
When I first noticed this lovely book, it didn't dawn on my that 66 Ways was talking about one way from each of the 66 books of the Bible. Once I discovered that it made the book even more interesting to me.
This week I was reading another devotional in which the author spoke about Habakkuk the prophet and his prayer to God concerning the nation of Israel. I thought it would be interesting to see what Jennifer had to say about God's love in the book of Habakkuk. Jennifer's take - God Places Lowliness in High Places. In the book of Habakkuk, Israel was far from God and the prophet was broken hearted over their sinfulness. He approached God with the situation, but God's answer was not what He expected. Things were going to get worse before they got better. Yet, God changed his perspective and in the end Habakkuk exclaimed "yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!" He wasn't rejoicing because his problems changed, he rejoiced because his perspective changed.
Jennifer has mined the gold nuggets of God's love out of each book of the Bible and shared them with us. This is a great tool to encourage our hearts one day at a time or multiple times throughout the day. What a great gift this book would make!
