Missie and Willie LaHaye are learning to adjust to life on the range. Missie enjoys teaching, while Willie keeps their ranch stable and prosperous. But a tragedy in the family puts an emotional wedge between Missie and Willie, as they continue their journey of faith and survival in the frontier.
Since I did not know the order of the series, I ended up seeing series 5 before seeing this one (#4), so it did not meet my expectations, as I was looking forward ??? to seeing more of Missie and Willie, and seeing more of a story line on how Willie was shot down. Like others said, what a waste, and that is where the story line changed. If you are planning on buying this set, it would be nice if you got it in order. 1- Love comes softly 2- Love's enduring promise 3- Love's long journey 4-Love's abiding joy 5-Love's unending legacy, and so on.
Whole series is WOW! You can't help but feel for the people depicted in this series. I'm a male and yes I've been through some hard times and so I can feel and I must admit I need tissues on hand. The advise given to the offspring is so beautifully put that I'd like to memorise them. Who knows when or if I'll need to use them one day. The WHOLE series is a must buy. I hope and pray that there will be more to this series. Sit back enjoy and be BLESSED. I'm going to put this review on all of the others so I don't have to type it out again.
Although I'm happy to see Christian movies being made this movie was a disappointment. True fans of the Love Comes Softly series will quickly see that this movie (and the others) are not at all like the treasured books. In this movie it bothers me that their baby dies. No such thing happened in the book. Also I don't like the fact that Missie leaves her family, especially her baby & young boy, to go and teach. The Missie in the book would have never done that. I think this movie should stand on it's own and not bear the Love Comes Softly series title. It is very misleading & disappointing. I will not be purchasing any of these movies.
