Readers of Kelly Irvins Bliss Creek Amish novels will be overjoyed to discover her new series for lovers of Amish fiction: The New Hope Amish. In the first installment, Love Still Stands, a group of dedicated families leaves Bliss Creek to establish a new community in Missouri. Among them is Bethel Graber, a beautiful young woman with a passion for teaching. But after being disabled in a terrible accident, overseeing a classroom is out of the question and romance seems a long-lost dream.
Bethel begins physical therapy, determined to make a fresh start. But that wont be easy in the town of New Hope, where the locals seem anything but eager to welcome their new Amish neighbors. Amid growing intimidation from the community, Bethel must find the strength to face her many challenges and the faith to believe that God still has a planand a lovefor her life.

In Love Still Stands, Kelly Irvin expertly weaves serious issues, such as discrimination, disability, and postpartum depression throughout her story of hope and forgiveness. Her characters are realistic and lovable. The reader feels their pain, shares their struggles, and rejoices with their triumphs. The message is clear: God does have a plan; we need to trust Him. I can't recommend this book highly enough. It is one of the best!

I enjoyed Kelly Irvin's Bliss Creek series, and Love Still Stands represents more of her solid Amish genre text.
The characters were all credible and well rounded. It gave an honest look at the lives of the Amish and the struggles they might face if people didnt welcome them. I would recommend this book to any person who likes Amish fiction.
Another winner from Kelly Irvin! I'm so totally excited to recommend this fascinating read. Irvin goes so deep with her characters, avoiding cliché effortlessly, and bringing the reader to care about the characters as if they were real people. Read this book and you'll be cheering on Bethel and Shawn. This book brings it!
